The Norwegian striker, Erling Haaland has confessed that he was angry he did not participate in the World Cup.

The Man City striker said he is hungrier than ever and would hunt down everyone who enjoyed the World Cup without him.

Speaking after the match against Leeds where he found the back of the net twice, he said that he had a lot of rest during the world tournament.

He is now ready to score more goals and win games for his side, he declared.

What the Man City Forward Said

Erling Haaland said: “I said to my team-mates I could have scored five and that’s the truth. That we win is the most important thing. Arsenal are at the top and we have to hunt them.

“I was at home on my sofa a bit mad that I wasn’t playing at the World Cup. I was a commentator in my own home about the World Cup but nobody was listening to me.

“I recharged my batteries and watching other people scoring and winning games at the World Cup motivated and irritated me. I’m hungrier than ever.”

Fastest to Reach 20 Goals

Haaland became the fastest player to hit 20 goal mark in Premier League with just 14 matches.

The striker has been on an unstoppable form since joining the English side.

IkejaBird observed that he has scored a total of three goals in two games after the World cup; one against Liverpool and two against the place of his birth, Leeds.
