Following yesterday’s incident between police and some transport workers which unfortunately led to the death of some persons in the Ajasa-Command area of Meiran in Lagos, normalcy has returned to the area, however, heavy police presence is still noticed along the axis especially at Meiran Police Station at Ile Iwe Intersection.
The heavy police presence is said to be connected to suspected plot by angry residents to burn down the police station as a result of the killing of a transport worker by a police officer.
Men of Rapid Response Squad, Task Force, among other police formations are still on ground.
