Adeyeye Adeola, a Nigerian chef, has embarked on an incredible culinary journey to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking marathon.
The cook-a-thon began on Friday, June 30, 2023, in the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State and is scheduled to conclude on Thursday, July 6, 2023.
This comes after another Nigerian chef, Adeparusi Damilola, commonly known as Chef Dammy, completed a 120-hour cook-a-thon in Ekiti State’s Oye Local Government Area.

Hilda Baci currently holds the record
The current record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual) is Hilda Effiong Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci.
She earned this title with her remarkable cooking achievement for 93 hours and 11 minutes. Baci’s record-breaking attempt occurred from Thursday, May 11, to Monday, May 15, when she prepared over 100 pots of food over four days.

Hilda Baci currently holds the record of the longest cooking marathon by an individual, lasting 93 hours and 11 minutes.
The award winning chef who was supported by millions of Nigerians decided to share the official unveiling of her plaque and certificate with her fans.
