Guard says the deceased did not come out of the apartment after the day he came in with the suspect.

Security man at Short-Let apartment where the prime suspect, Chidinma Ojukwu was accused of killing the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Mr. Usifo Ataga has clarified that although Chidinma always had a face mask on, he was able to recognize her because she always had it below her nose.


Chidinma, a 300-level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos, was accused of killing Ataga. The undergraduate and two others, Adedapo Quadri and Chioma Egbuchu, are undergoing trial before Justice Yetunde Adesanya of the Lagos State High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos State.

At the resumed hearing on Wednesday, Abubakar Mohammed was cross-examined by the first defendant’s lawyer, Onwuka Egbu.

Yusuf Sule, the prosecution’s lawyer, re-examined the witness, telling the court that Ms Ojukwu was the one who came to the flat and checked-in.

Abubakar said, at the police station when he was called to identify the suspect, he was able to recognize her “because she wears her face mask without covering her nose.”

At the police station while doing a video, the police asked me, if I knew her and I said, yes.

They also asked her, if she knew me and my name. She said, Yes, my name is Abu.”
