Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has officially notified the state House of Assembly of his resumption of duty after months of medical vacation.
During a parliamentary meeting, the Speaker of the Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, confirmed the receipt of the letter on Friday, September 8, 2023.
This move aligns with Section 190(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

Akeredolu was not in the country
Governor Akeredolu had recently returned to the country after concluding a three-month medical leave in Germany.
His safe return was met with gratitude by Oladiji and many others.
Following his arrival, Akeredolu held meetings with his cabinet members, legislators, and various political groups in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Sources indicate that he is expected to return to Ondo State next week.
Oluwarotimi Akeredolu requests extension of leave till further notice
In another news, Ondo State Governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has written a letter to the state House of Assembly, informing them of the extension of his medical leave.
The governor had embarked on a 21-day medical leave on June 7 and was expected to return on July 6 to resume his official duties.
However, following medical advice to take adequate rest for recovery, Akeredolu requested an indefinite extension.
