Governor Ademola Adeleke appoints his nephew as a state statutory board chairman | Ikejabird.com

The Governor of Osun state, Ademola Adeleke appointed his late brother, Isiaka Adeleke’s son, Mr. Tunji Adeleke (Jnr), as the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission.

Additionally, Rasaq Salinsile, who was the chairman of the defunct Rauf Aregbesola’s faction of the All Progressives Congress in the state, was also appointed as the Chairman of the Teaching Service Commission.

Other important appointments include Prof. Wale Oladipo the ex-National Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party,  as Chairman of the Osun State University Governing Council and Mr. Diran Odeyemi the ex-PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary,  as Chairman of the Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke.

Others listed as chairmen of state statutory boards are; 

  1. Mr. Gbenga Onigbogi, as chairman of University of Ilesa 
  2. Mr. Diran Ayanbeku,as chairman of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree
  3. Mr Peter Babalola, as chairman of Osun State College of Education, Ila
  4. Senator Kola Ogunwale, as chairman of Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa
  5. Dr Kingsley Akinroye, as chairman of the State Hospital Management Board
  6. Mr. Ibukun Fadipe, as chairman of  State Universal Basic Education Board
  7. Mr. Muyiwa Oloso, as chairman of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation
  8. Mr. Taju Adisa, as chairman of Primary Healthcare Board
  9. Alhaji Maruf Ishola, as chairman of Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing)
  10. Mr. Funso Ishola, as chairman of Pilgrims Welfare Board (Christian Wing).
  11. Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji, as chairman of Osun Health Insurance Agency
  12. Mr. Niyi Owolade, as chairman of Osun State University Teaching Hospital
  13. Mr. Ebenezer Ebenco,as chairman of Council for Arts and Culture
  14. Mr. Akanfe Atidade,as chairman of Housing Loans Board
  15. Mr. Kolade Adeleke, as chairman of Osun Tourism Board
  16. Mr. Sola Adewumi, as chairman of Osun Internal Revenue Service.

The appointments have been made following the swearing-in ceremony of 25 commissioners and three permanent secretaries, and they are effective immediately.

MURIC criticizes Governor Adeleke’s appointments

In another news, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) expressed its dissatisfaction with Governor Ademola Adeleke’s choice of commissioners in Osun state

MURIC pointed out that out of the 24 commissioners, only seven were Muslims while the remaining 17 were Christians.

MURIC’s Executive Director, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, accused Governor Adeleke of favoring Christians over Muslims, which MURIC believes is unfair and oppressive.
