Nollywood actress and comedian, Stephanie Naya Isuma, popularly known as Calabar Chic recounted her painful experience with uterine fibroids.
She shared how her condition made people to think she was pregnant even when she was not pregnant.
According to her, her condition had caused her to experience symptoms commonly associated with pregnancy, such as heavy menstrual bleeding, persistent bloating, and cramps, which had grown rapidly over time.
Despite her instincts telling her that something was amiss, she had not realized that her protruding abdomen was caused by a large fibroid and not a pregnancy.
I visited several doctors
She wanted to ensure that her diagnosis was accurate, so she sought the opinion of multiple doctors. She described her pain as severe and almost unbearable.
After her diagnosis was confirmed to be a fibroid, she underwent a series of surgeries to remove it. The fibroid was reported to be as large as a six-month pregnancy.
Thankfully, the surgeries were successful, and the woman is now feeling much better. She expressed her gratitude to God for her recovery.
