The University of Ilorin made an announcement to all its graduating students that they can no longer participate in the tradition of “sign-out.”
In response to this ban, students took to Twitter to criticize the school’s management.
The university’s Student Affairs Unit issued a directive, stating that final-year students are prohibited from engaging in sign-outs, which include activities like writing on white vests, creating car awareness, and pouring water on each other. This ban is effective immediately.

This is to inform students of the Better-By-Far University that owing to the directive from the management of the Student Affairs Unit, sign-outs:
(i) involving making inscriptions on white vests;
(ii) car awareness; and
(iii) pouring water on each other,embarked upon by Final Year Students are banned with immediate effect.
Final year students are advised to adhere to this directive. Thank you.
