The Lagos State 10th Constituency Stakeholders’ Meeting held on September 4 at the Green Event Center, Oregun, Ikeja, drew attention to new political voices.

Hon. Kazeem Opeyemi highlighted Comrade Oyedeji Damola Oludare, popularly known as Mr. Lecturer, for his active participation and promise of leadership.

After the session, Oyedeji joined Hon. Ajenifuja Lateef, Governing Council member of the Federal Polytechnic Idah, for a group photograph — a gesture that signaled collaboration and community progress.

The annual stakeholders’ meeting, organized across all constituencies in Lagos, provides a platform for citizens to engage their representatives, raise concerns, and contribute to policy directions. This year’s edition in Ikeja was no different, as residents pressed for better infrastructure youth empowerment, and inclusive governance.

For many attendees, the recognition of younger voices like Oyedeji’s reflects a growing demand for fresh leadership within Ikeja. Stakeholders say it is a reminder that the future of grassroots politics depends on engaging active citizens who are willing to serve their communities.

For many in Ikeja, the meeting reaffirmed that emerging leaders are ready to shape the future of grassroots politics.
