 A few of these individuals delivered such impressive performances that they earned a standing ovation and will undoubtedly be remembered for years.

Josh2funny

Josh Alfred, the well-known Nigerian comedian recognised by his stage name Josh2Funny, graced the stage of “America’s Got Talent” to unveil his talents before a global audience. 

With three successive auditions within a single day, Josh exhibited remarkable resilience and left the audience in awe with his rap performance, skilful faux speed reading, and display of magic tricks. 

While the judges’ conviction might have been uncertain, his flair for entertainment unquestionably enthralled the audience.

Kechi

Nigerian-American artist and motivational speaker Kechi Okwuchi graced the stage during the 2017 edition of “America’s Got Talent” Season 12. Her appearance left the judges spellbound with her beautiful voice.

 This extraordinary performance secured her a spot in the subsequent rounds and propelled her into the competition’s finals.

Kechi’s journey to fame is nothing short of inspirational. Before her captivating audition, she courageously shared her harrowing experience as one of the two survivors of the tragic Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash on December 10, 2005. 

Despite enduring severe burns and undergoing numerous surgeries that left her body marked with scars, her indomitable spirit remained unbroken, leading her to pursue her passion for music on the grand stage

D-flex

Oyindamola Kolawole Emmanuelwidely recognized as Dflex, proudly represented Nigeria on the grand stage of an American talent show. His extraordinary contortion skills made the audience frenzy during the premiere of the 16th season of “America’s Got Talent.”

Dflex went for the show’s audition, drawing upon his prior accomplishments as a finalist in the 2014 edition of Nigeria’s Got Talent and his participation in Britain’s Circus Zyair. Dflex’s performance was truly remarkable, leaving no room for doubt

Funke Lagoke

Funke Lagoke, a previous winner of the Miss Nigeria USA pageant, elevated Nigeria’s presence by successfully advancing through the auditions of the 19th season of American Idol in that particular year.

She showcased her talent in a duet with Ronda Felton during the Hollywood week of the show. 

Regrettably, nervousness overwhelmed her, leading to a collapse and loss of consciousness while receiving feedback from the judges. This incident prompted her immediate hospitalisation.

Marvin Achi

Born in Rivers State, Nigeria, taking the spotlight on season 17 of America’s Got Talent, he, unfortunately, missed the cut to secure a spot among the top 55 acts for the semifinals..

During his audition, he presented the judges with a unique experiment. A mishap caused chemicals from one of his beakers to spill onto his shirt, prompting him to remove it and groove to Yello’s “Oh Yeah.” 

While Howie Mandel’s enthusiasm was lacking, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, and Simon Cowell all cast positive votes, propelling him to the next phase of the competition.
