Since the inception of the Big Brother Naija reality show, we have witnessed a multitude of housemates who have leveraged the platform to explore various opportunities in the entertainment industry.
One particular avenue where some of these housemates have found immense success is in the Nollywood industry. They have seamlessly transitioned into the acting realm, gracing our screens with their talent.
These BBNaija stars have had the privilege of working on notable projects within the Nigerian film industry, taking on diverse roles that have allowed them to showcase their versatility as actors.
Their contributions to Nollywood have not gone unnoticed, as they have garnered nominations and awards for their outstanding work.

Here’s a list of five(5) BBNaija stars who are currently making waves in Nollywood industry:
Bisola Aiyeola: Bisola is a popular Nigerian entrepreneur and TV personality. She gained fame as the first runner up of Big Brother Naija, “See Gobe.” She’s also a proud single mother and has made a name for herself in the movie industry, winning awards like the AMVCA Trailblazer Award. Some of her notable movies include Sugar Rush, Dwindle, A Simple Lie, This Lady Called Life, Sista, and Introducing the Kujus.
Tobi Bakre: Tobi is a talented model, host, and photographer. He became well-known after reaching the finals of Big Brother Naija, Double Wahala in 2018. He joined the industry and since then, he’s been nominated for numerous awards and recently won an Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award in 2023. Tobi has showcased his acting skills in movies like Slum King, Gangs of Lagos, Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story, Brotherhood, The Blood Covenant, and more. He has slowly become Nollywood’s action star.
Elozonam Ogbolu: Elozonam is a talented content creator and self-employed television producer. He became known as a housemate on Big Brother Nigeria season four, Pepper Dem. After the show, he ventured into Nollywood and has been a part of great movies like Charge and Bail, Before Valentine’s, Bad Boys and Bridesmaids, and Sanitation Day. He recently won the AMVCA for Online Social Content Creator category.
Diane Russet: Diane is not only a talented filmmaker, but also a skilled producer and model. She gained popularity as a housemate on Big Brother Nigeria season four, Pepper Dem. After her time on the show, she ventured into movie production and recently received recognition for her film Ricordi, which won an Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award in 2023. She has showcased her acting skills in movies like Brotherhood and Storm, among others.
Venita Apkofure: Venita, a British-Nigerian, started her career as a video vixen and gained fame as a housemate in Big Brother Naija season four and All Stars season. Since then, she has made her mark in Nollywood, starring in movies like My Village People, Before Valentine’s, Kambili: The Whole 30 Yards, and more. Besides her successful career, Venita is also a proud mother of two children.
Erica Nlewedim, Dorathy Bachor, Teddy A, Pere, Somadina Anyama, and Mercy Eke are other Big Brother Naija stars who have also made their mark in the Nollywood industry.
