Chioma Anjunwa is the first Nigerian to win an Olympics Gold medal in the 1996 summer Olympics in Atlanta and the first black woman to win an Olympic Gold medal in a field event. Anjunwa remains the woman to compete at both the FIFA women’s World Cup as a footballer and the olympics as a track and field athlete.
Chioma Anjunwa is now a member of the Nigerian police force and she launched a foundation in December 2017 to discover new Nigerian stars in sports.
