The Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland and President of Non-Indigenes Traditional Council of Ibadan, Oyo State, Alex Anozie, has died.
Anozie reportedly died in his sleep at his Ososami residence in Ibadan, the state capital, at the age of 74. He hailed from Igboukwu, in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Ikejabird gathered that the remains of the deceased have been taken to his country home, Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State for final burial.

The Personal Assistant to the deceased, Mr Samuel Ule, confirmed his death. He told reporters that Anozie had some weaknesses in his body, and walked himself to Fumbell Diagnostic Centre to conduct tests on Monday morning.
“The result of the test was to come out today, but sadly we were shocked to hear that he slept and could not wake up from his sleep,” he disclosed.
Ule said that the Ezi Ndigbo was dedicated immensely to the economic growth of the ancient town.
He said, “The deceased lived his life in Ibadan and contributed immensely to the economic growth of the ancient town. He died on Tuesday in his sleep at his Ososami residence in Ibadan, the state capital. His remains have been taken to his country home, Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State for final burial.”
The Ndigbo chieftain was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CONAC Optical Company, Ibadan.
