A female TikTok user has been sentenced to three years imprisonment by the court after she cyberstalked popular Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus.
The young woman identified as Nwakaego Okoye made headlines when she accused the actress of being a pimp.
Following her words, Eniola Badmus who refused all pleas from the young woman dragged her to court as she shared that before following through with her actions, she had reached out to her several times to stop defaming her but she ignored her request.
Justice Nichola Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Lagos gave the ruling of the young woman on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

She was convicted by the judge after she pleaded guilty to a two-count charge of cyberstalking. According to the charge, Nwakaego Okoye and one Chiamabi who is at of this report has not been caught had connived to commit the offense between December 2022 and July 2023 in Lagos.
Nwakaegbo who pleaded in a viral video to never do such again and publicly apologized to Eniola Badmus, shared that she defamed the actress because one Fortune Ibe, her friend told her to do it after promising her a sim of N200,000.
She added that at that time, she urgently needed the money for her house rent, hence, her reason for pushing through with her actions.
Justice Nicholas sentenced Nwakaego Okoye to three years in prison or to pay a fine of N150,000 after she pleaded to the court.
Following the judgment of the court, the actress took to her social space to address the issue, according to her, she understands the right and freedom to speak, however, it was important for everyone to take note of what they say and be responsible with their words.

Meanwhile, Eniola Badmus shared the reason why she works so hard without giving up in life despite what it throws at her.
In an Instagram post, the Yoruba actress explained that she works so hard in life because she can’t mess up irrespective of what happens.
According to her, she has no one to run to when she can’t or doesn’t get it right but herself, she stated that which was why she gives everything she has to achieve what she wants to achieve.
