The Lagos State Government has responded to a leaked memo that circulated online.
The memo revealed that approval of funds for the mass burial of 103 individuals identified as victims of the 2020 EndSARS protests
They clarified that these victims are unrelated to the controversial Lekki Tollgate shooting, as people misinterpreted the memo.

In a statement released by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Olusegun Ogboye, on Sunday, it was confirmed that the letter regarding the approval of N61,285,000 for the mass burial is genuine.
However, the government emphasized that the information has been misinterpreted.
The government clarified that the bodies to be buried were not recovered from the Lekki Tollgate incident but were instead collected from various locations in Lagos, including Ikeja, Ajah, Isolo, Ikorodu, and others.
They also pointed out the occurrence of a jailbreak at Ikoyi Prison but maintained that no bodies were retrieved from the Lekki Tollgate during the #EndSARS protests.
Lagos raises N134.8bn in bond for infrastructure
In another news, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has surprised Lagosians by announcing that his administration secured N134.8 billion through long-tenure bonds.
According to his statement on Tuesday, the governor said the bond is the transaction instrument for the first sets of allotments in the N1 trillion debt and hybrid issuance program.
Mr. Governor also revealed that his government would execute various projects pre-inspected by the Securities and Exchange Commission with proceeds from the bond and sukuk.
