Election: How to confirm your polling unit via SMS

With a couple of days to the 2023 general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced step-by-step measures that voters can use to verify and confirm their polling unit.

The electoral umpire has scheduled the presidential and the National Assembly (NASS) election to Saturday, February 25.

Governorship and the state assembly elections will hold subsequently on Satuday, March 11.

As Nigerians prepare to elect a new crop of leaders who will oversee the ship of the country, INEC said electorate can have quick knowledge of where they will vote by taking these steps:

1. Get it via SMS
   Kindly text the name of your State, Lastname and the last 6 digits of your Voter Identification Number (VIN) to 09062830860 or 09062830861 to get your Polling unit name.
   Example: FCT MAGAJI 445322.
   
2. Visit INEC Website
   Visit www.voters.inecnigeria.org or www.cvr.inecnigeria.org/vvs to get your Polling unit name.
