Ali Ali, the coordinator of the Peace and Stability Initiative (PSI), has revealed that the organization possesses information indicating that some groups of people are planning to stop the inauguration of Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, on May 29th.

In a statement released on May 19, as reported by The Cable, Ali revealed that certain foreign agents are collaborating with local organizations, appearing as civil society groups, to undermine the democratic processes in Nigeria.

Ali claimed that they had started formulating the plan following the declaration of Tinubu as the president-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on March 1.

According to the statement, it was further claimed that intelligence reports have revealed the involvement of certain domestic opposition factions, along with foreign alliances, who are planning to publish a counterfeit and harmful final report regarding the results of the 2023 elections.

It was mentioned that the manipulated and carefully orchestrated report would place a strong focus on the results of the presidential election which was held on February 25.

Ali Ali also noted that the purpose of the plot is to intimidate and hope to influence the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition which the court has just commenced. He described the plot as busybody and meddlesome

Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulates Victor Osimhen

Meanwhile, the president-elect of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated footballer Victor Osimhen on his recent victory in the Italian Serie A. 

Tinubu, who is often referred to as “Jagaban,” commended Osimhen for making Nigeria proud and continuing the legacy of other Nigerian footballers who have made a global impact.

In describing Osimhen’s talent, Tinubu used the Yoruba street slang “Idan gangan,” which means someone who performs wonders.
