A baby has been given birth in the United Kingdom using three people’s DNA for the first time in the history of the world.

The report shows that just about 5 or fewer of these kinds of babies have been given birth in the UK though they weren’t disclosed.

However, further medical reports show that most of the babies’ DNA comes from their two major parents while 0.1%comes from the third donor woman.

This is risky

Meanwhile, the reason for the medical operation is to prevent children from being born with a deadly disease known as mitochondrial disease.

This disease is said to be a rare but dangerous genetic disease passed down to the child only by the mother, hence mitochondrial donation treatment is considered as it is a modified form of IVF that uses mitochondria from a healthy donor egg.

Though many netizens weren’t satisfied with this development as they claimed that it can expose the baby to further diseases from the three parties involved.
