In a recent interview on Channels TV, former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, expressed his disapproval of Mr. Peter Obi’s rejection of the presidential election tribunal judgment.

Wike went on to challenge Obi to clarify whether he had paid a bribe to regain his mandate at the court when he was removed as governor of Anambra State.

His comments came after the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, rejected the ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, which upheld the victory of Bola Tinubu.

Is the judiciary wrong now?

Both Obi and the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) standard bearer, Atiku Abubakar, have voiced their disagreement with the court judgment and announced their intention to pursue further legal action at the Supreme Court.

The former Rivers State governor emphasized that while the judiciary was deemed right when it ruled in Obi’s favor, it is now being criticized for its decision regarding the presidential election tribunal judgment.

Wike specifically said:

“Did Peter Obi not win at the Supreme Court when he was removed as governor? Did he pay bribe? Let him tell the world now,”
