David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has arrived in Qatar to perform at the closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup.
The singer was seen in a public space in Qatar on Friday. This will be the second time he will be sighted publicly after the death of his son in October.
The Nigerian celebrity was initially scheduled to perform at the inception of the tournament. It was eventually postponed due to the loss of his child.
If he is able to perform at the event on Sunday, it will be his first major appearance after the tragic incidence that drowned his son.
It will be recalled that he made an appearance at his uncle’s inauguration two weeks ago but did not perform at the event.
The singer had received numerous outpours of emotions when it became public that he had lost his only son, Ifeanyi. It was later revealed that the three year old had drowned in a house pool.
The Nigerian musician will now be looking forward to lightening up the stadium on December 18 for the fans.
Argentina will take on France in the final om Sunday. A duel that would see Lionel Messi battle it out with Kylian Mbappe for the coveted prize.
