Davido becomes 1st African artist to sell out 16k-capacity venue in Canada

Davido has broken yet another record by becoming the first African musician to sell out 16 capacity venue in Canada.

Following his latest mind-blowing show in Toronto, Davido became the first African artist to sell out a 16k-capacity in Canada.

It will be noted that not even his popular predecessors and colleagues have reached this feat.

On August, 2022, Burna Boy reached his milestone as he was the first African to sell out his shows in America. Wizkid also became the first African to perform at 80,000 capacity venue in United Kingdom stadium.

In reaction to Davido’s feat, fans of the singer have gone all out on social media to hail the OBO for such an immense feat. 

However, that wasn’t the only thing the OBO achieved over the weekend, as the news also broke that the singer has hit a personal best with Unavailable.

The track got its biggest single-day streams on Saturday, July 15, with 767k listens. This is the OBO’s highest stream within 24 hours to date.

It is inappropriate to participate in concerts of Davido, Wizkid, others: Joshua Mike-Bamiloye urges Christians

Meanwhile, The son of the popular televangelist Joshua Mike-Bamiloye mostly known as Jay-Mike, spilled that it is not lawful for Christians to attend some concerts.

The gospel-based artiste urged that concerts or shows organized by secular musicians such as Davido, Rema, Wizkid and others are not spiritually inclined therefore, a true believer should not attend.

Joshua argued that any Christian who is filled with the Holy Spirit would understand and know when to set boundaries, while others may not.
