Renowned Nigerian musician, Davido, has issued an apology to his fans who anticipated his presence in Delta State for being unable to attend the Warri Again show.
Recall that the former boss of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, had publicly criticized the famous Afrobeat singer for breaking his agreement with his organization.
Pinnick expressed his disappointment during his event called ‘Warri Again,’ where he expected Davido to perform on Friday, October 6.
He revealed that he paid Davido a significant amount of money, $94,600, and even hired a private jet for him and his team, costing $18,000. However, Davido and his team never arrived at the event, which greatly affected the quality of the show.

In a series of tweets and pictures on his Instagram story, Davido responded to Pinnick, accusing the former NFF president of being a corrupt football official who failed to pay the salary and benefits due to Nigerian sportsmen.
Amaju Pinnick, in response, said Davido wouldn’t be invited back to Delta state in his statements. However, the Grammy-winning megastar responded by saying that no one could stop him from performing anywhere in Nigeria.
Davido has finally taken to his Instagram page to apologize. The ‘Fem’ crooner expressed his regret and disappointment in not being able to make it to the concert and revealed that despite having informed the Warri Again organizers of his inability to attend the event owing to a conflict with his New Zealand concert, they had continued to use his name in promotional materials for the event.
However, he has promised to bring an even bigger performance to the state.
