David’s full account of the story
He clarified that he entered Zimbabwe using a valid Ghanaian refugee passport, which he had used for travelling around the world for two years.
David pointed out that the passport had a valid UK Visa and several entry and exit stamps from various countries, both within and outside Africa.
He said that he had no issues using this passport in other places, and only in Zimbabwe did he face a problem.
Before his travel, David had contacted the Zimbabwean embassy in Accra to confirm if he needed a visa, and they told him that as long as the airline recognized the travel document, he could enter Zimbabwe without a visa.
He also mentioned that the behaviour displayed by the Zimbabwean government on Twitter did not represent the majority of Zimbabweans he knew and considered friends since university.
He understood that sometimes a country could be controlled by a corrupt political elite without the support of its people.
Reactions: They’re all full of hate
Nigerians are reacting to what is happening regarding David’s case. Here are some of the comments:
@chi:I’m sitting here with my Zimbabwean colleagues showing them what’s happening. They’re all full of hate for the authorities in their country just as many of us Nigerians are with ours
@Akin:This Nick Mangwana go explain, explain, explain he go tire. You don’t play this kind of play with Nigerians and go Scot free..
@mazi:The only thing that scares corrupt politicians or government, are the free thinking journalists.
@peace:Don’t mind that one that is hovering around Yaba left. Immediately she insinuated that David needed Abike Dabiri to intervene I knew on colos was doing it’s job. No need to engage her.

In another news, Popular Nigerian investigative journalist, David Hundeyin, recently shared his horrible experience when he arrived in Zimbabwe.
Upon landing, he was detained and confined in a closed, unpleasant-smelling room for more than seven hours.
