According to the latest world happiness report, Nigeria has taken the 95th position among the nations of the world and 6th position in Africa.
Nigeria gained the position with 4.981 points according to the report announced Monday, March 20, by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network in celebration of the United Nations’ International Day of Happiness.
The report showed that Nigeria increased by 23 places out of 137 countries surveyed on world happiness day.

According to the report released, Nigeria is ranked above Mozambique, Iraq, Cameroon, Palestine and Morocco while she is below Ukraine, Ivory Coast, Guinea and Gabon.
The research also indicates that Finland is the country with the happiest people, with a score significantly ahead of all other countries, while Afghanistan remains at the bottom of the ranking in a league table of 137 countries.
Though some Nigerians seem not to believe this report to be true, others give credit to our entertainment industry as the reason behind Nigerians’ happiness.
