Popular Canadian rapper, Tory Lanez has been sentenced to 10 years in jail after he shot and wounded his ex-girlfriend, Meghan Thee Stallion, a well-known singer and rapper.
The 31-year-old rapper had apparently shot the rapper in the feet during a drunken argument where he kept firing at her several times in the streets.
Narrating her ordeal in court, the ‘Wap’ performer whose real name is Megan Pete shared that he (Tory Lanez), his bodyguard, herself, and one of her friends, Kelsey Harris had been in the car when an argument ensued between them.

She stated that she insisted on alighting from the vehicle and when she did, he kept yelling at her to “Dance Bitch” and continuously fired at her.
Tory Lanez was convicted in December for carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, discharging a firearm with negligence, and assault with a firearm, Punch reports.
The prosecutor requested a 13-year imprisonment of the rapper stating that he had emotionally and physically damaged Meghan the Stallion.
Tory’s attorney pleaded for probation and 3 years in prison, and mandatory rehab for his alcohol addiction.
Judge David Herrifold in a hearing that began on Monday shared that he had received many letters from his family and celebrity friends, he shared Tory’s son and singer Iggy Azalea amongst many other were some of those who sent him a letter.
However, he insisted that the rapper who has been in jail ever since his conviction would be imprisoned for a decade.

Residents angry as NDLEA operatives shoot two dead during raid in Lagos
Meanwhile, the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) operatives has allegedly shot two people dead in Idioro area of Mushin, Lagos State.
The NDLEA apparently stormed the streets at around 10 pm for a search to raid a drug chain but started shooting in order to scare off the hoodlums, Punch reported.
However, in a bid to achieve their aims and apprehend people abusing drugs, stray bullets that were fired by the operative killed two persons including a young man, Gafar Yusuf.
