It seems that Nigerians are dead set on being holders of the longest cooking time as two Nigerian chefs stepped out to state their aim of breaking the Guinness World Record.

Recall that the decision of these men is coming after Hilda Baci cooked for over 100 hours but was certified by the Guinness World Record for cooking for 93 hours 11 minutes.

Following her achievement, a young FUOYE student, Chef Dammy stepped out and cooked for 120 hours which she completed on Wednesday.

The attempt of these Nigerian ladies to pen their names down in history awed many which then prompted the decisions of these men.

Ibadan Chef aims to cook for 140 hours

Temitope Adebayo, an Ibadan Chef stepped out in style to announce that he plans on breaking and setting a new record for the longest cooking marathon (Individual).

Showing the evidence of the mail he had sent to Guinness World Records he revealed that he plans to cook for 140 hours at Ibadan, Oyo state in order to surpass Chef Dammy’s 120 hours cook-a-thon.

Temitope also revealed that his attempt would be carried out this year, on November 1st leaving many people shuffling in their seats.

Godwin set to break record by cooking for 150 hours

However, it has come to our attention that another Nigrian man identified as Godwin Eme also took to his Facebook page to announce that he was embarking on a 150-hour cook-a-thon challenge.

Godwin lives in Abia state and would be cooking in his state of residence. He not only revealed his intent but he also shared the menu of the food he was going to be cooking.

The Abia chef would be attempting to break and set a new record on June 30 2023 while also sharing that he was going t be cooking 30 different delicacies.

Now many social media users question how then does the Ibadan chef plans on setting a new record when another chef has stepped in to claim that he would be cooking for 150 hours.

Hilda Baci receives reply from Guinness World Record

In other news, the cook-a-thon sensation, Hilda Baci finally received another reply from Guinness World Record.

It will be recalled that the phenomenal chef Hilda had done 100 hours of cooking in the month of May 2023.

She achieved this great feat by beating her original record of 92 hours and received massive support from hood Nigerians and major brands.
