Mary Matiki, a Nigerian lady who now resides in Dominican republic has revealed the price of Coconut in Calabar, Lagos and Dominican.
While she observed that Coconut is cheaper in Dominican than in Nigeria, she noted that the price vary in Calabar and Lagos.
“When I moved from Calabar to Lagos, it took me a while to buy coconut when I used to buy big coconut for 150 naira in Calabar,” she said.
She said before she left Lagos, the price of Coconut has increased to N400 naira.
“The last Coconut I ate in Lagos cost N400 Naira and I grumbled at the size so much that that garri and milk I was having it with probably dried up since I was already doing the swelling.”
Coconut Below £1 in Dominican
She said she was excited to see that the price of coconut was cheaper abroad.
“This evening, I am here smiling at the same size of coconut I grumbled at in Lagos with because this one cost slightly below £1 as compared to the ones I have been seeing above £1,” she said.
But George, her friend, was quick to let Matiki know that it may not taste as nice as the ones in Nigeria.
