With the EPL giants, Chelsea FC, facing relegation threats amid awful runs of performance in the domestic English Premier League, Nigerian pastor Primate Ayodele has predicted that the club is deemed for doom.
The pastor, who is the leader and founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, made this prediction in a video now going viral which Ikeja Bird found on his TikTok page.
According to the clergyman, the London side is “finished” and may not “function again” if the new owners do not “get the blessings” of the erstwhile owner, a Russian businessman and billionaire Roman Abramovich.
Chealse has been enmeshed in a whirlpool of crisis since former manager and Champions League winner Thomas Tuchel was handed a marching order by the club’s new owners led by Todd Boehly.
Since World Cup in Qatar, the club has failed to record a win, with their current woes compounded by back-to-back losses to league rivals Manchester City.
The Blues currently sit 10th on the EPL table with 25 points, 19 points behind league leaders and London rivals Arsenal.
A run of poor form has seen the club sit 10 points below the top four radar, meaning there is little hope of qualification for the Champions League next season.
Primate Ayodele said there is a curse trailing the club and not an army of quality stars can save them from their woes.
“If they are not careful, they will not function again. Those who bought Chelsea should go back to the former owner and get his blessings. There is a curse that is choking Chelsea at this moment. Any team now can beat Chelsea. They need spiritual cleansing to wake up to the challenges at the moment,” he said.
Chelsea faces Fulham on Thursday, January 12, in another Premier League test at Craven Cottage.
