Graham Potter has responded to the query on the current high number of injuries among Chelsea players.
The coach disclosed that the players have not been undergoing stringent training, adding that he is yet to get to the root of the problem.
Potter admitted that it is a bit of bad luck considering that an injury of this magnitude had not been a pattern in the club before he came in.
Potter’s response to players injuries
He said: “We’re looking all the time. We’re going over how they’re happening and trying to evaluate the whole thing. Sometimes it’s difficult when you come in halfway through the season to know how things have happened. It’s a bit of bad luck and learning going forward on how we can improve.”
“The nature of them it’s almost like it’s not even a pattern. Just different problems. It’s tricky. It’s not like we’ve been overtraining or anything like that. We certainly need to get to the bottom of that,” he added.
IkejaBird gathered that Dennis Zakaria also limped out of the match against Fulham where the Blues went home with a 2:1 loss.
Chelsea players with injuries include but not limited to Raheem Sterling, Christian Pulisic, Ngolo Kante, Eduardo Mendy, Armando Broja and others.
