Todd Boehly’s Chelsea are closing in on Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk despite Arsenal’s interest on the player.
Shakhtar has insisted that the final offer for the 21-year-old is £80 million. According to Goal, two bids from Arsenal have been rejected so far.
With Chelsea’s interest on the player and their financial capacity based on the asking price on the table, Arsenal may eventually miss out on such an important signing.
IkejaBird gathered that Arsenal’s opening offer for the winger was about £55 million and it was outrightly rejected. According to SkySports, the second offer that was also turned down was around £62 million.
€80 Million or Nothing
Arsenal are looking to bolster their front ahead of the second round of the Premier League race.
Understanding the power of depth, the Gunners will hope to have the young winger before the end of the month to amp up the ante.
Chelsea are generally working on the entire structure of their team and would hope to sign an array of top class players available on this transfer window to keep their hope for the top four alive.
