It is looking set that Mykhailo Mudryk will be joining Chelsea after being heavily linked with Arsenal.
Fabrizio Romano, Italian Sports Reporter has confirmed that the 22-year-old has agreed to join Chelsea.
Arsenal’s Interest
The player had shown great interest in the Gunners and had posted several screenshots of the side on social media.
Mudryk was clear, at least to everyone following his SM, that he wanted to be part of the Premier League leading team.
That interest has fizzled away because capitalism was at the center of it all, and as many economic scholars dreaded, Capitalism leaves nothing for no one.
Chelsea was willing to put more than everyone on the table so they got what they wanted. That’s it.
Last Bid at £95 Million
It has been reported that Shakhtar Donetsk has agreed to a £100 million deal with Chelsea.
Multiple reports also revealed that Arsenal’s last bid was £95 million, £5 million shy of the Blues’ scooping proposal.
In retrospect, and from a social perspective, that margin should have been overlooked to grant the player’s primary choice but in the world of capitalism, a little more makes a difference.
What’s Next for Mudryk
Mudryk would have been a part of a side that is fighting for the league alongside young and motivated players.
Being a part of the team would have given them the needed boost to consolidate their position at the top.
Also, it would have been a win-win position for the two sides right from the start if he had joined the Gunners. Now with Chelsea, it is uncertain until time unveils what is in store for the young player.
