Samuel Chukwueze had his first opportunity to start for AC Milan in a Champions League match against Newcastle. However, the game ended in a 0-0 draw, and neither team could score.

Chukwueze, a Super Eagles forward, made his first start for Milan, but he, like the other Milan players in the attacking positions, couldn’t score. This allowed Newcastle to leave the San Siro stadium with one point.

AC Milan, a team with a rich history in the Champions League and last season’s semi-finalist, faced Newcastle, a team returning to the competition after a 20-year absence. The difference in experience was clear, as AC Milan dominated the game.

Match Reports

After suffering a 5-2 loss to Inter Milan in the previous match, AC Milan’s coach, Stefano Pioli, changed the lineup. He brought in Tommaso Pogbega and Chukwueze, replacing Tijjani Reijnders and Christian Pulisic.

Both teams started cautiously, but AC Milan soon took control of the game and created many scoring opportunities.

Olivier Giroud missed a chance, Rafeel Leao had difficulty with his shots in the penalty area, and Samuel Chukwueze missed a close-range header. This summed up AC Milan’s struggles in front of the goal.

Newcastle occasionally tried to counterattack, but AC Milan’s defense handled these attempts well, allowing Newcastle only one shot on target, while AC Milan had nine attempts.

Both coaches made substitutions in an attempt to change the course of the game, but neither team could break the deadlock, and the score remained 0-0.
