Media personality, Lerin Nicodemus has asserted that she was disappointed in Burna Boy’s statement that Afrobeats lacked “substance.”
Ikejabird reported that the award-winning Afrobeat singer stated that Nigerian music has no substance and was just based on vibes without talking about real-life issues.
Addressing this, Lerin Nicodemus stated that he was a hypocrite for saying such words adding that he gained his popularity and benefited a lot from what he was trashing.

According to her, Burna Boy was a fraud and a very uninspiring artist who goes o the global stage to debase Nigerian music.
“Burnaboy is the Biggest Fraud and most Uninspiring Artiste in Nigeria, his entire brand is built on Fela’s Pan Africanism but when there is a social activity, he either keeps quiet or mocks Nigeria,” she said in a part.

Meanwhile, Joey Akan, an award-winning journalist criticized Burna Boy, a Nigerian musician for degrading Afrobeats.
