President Muhammadu Buhari has unveiled the redesigned Naira notes.
This was done on Wednesday morning before the federal executive council (FEC) meeting at the state house, Abuja.
The CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, was in attendance.
Emefiele said the introduction of new notes was a deliberate step by the government to check corruption and counterfeiting of the notes.
However, the naira notes currently in use will remain legal tender until January 31, 2023.
Reactions have trailed the new Naira notes.

@SenatorShehuSani said, If it’s Naira colour, the CBN should have just engage Snapchat.
@zenmag said, You guys could have done better. What is redesigned here? Where is the concept or design structure? Y’all just added a filter and saying this is a redesign? Many of us know how to handle InDesign and psp so calling this a redesign is appalling. This is saddening Bash
