On the second anniversary of their demise, Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna are immortalised in bronze statue with inscription ‘heroes come and go but legends are forever’
The monument is erected at the site of helicopter crash which claimed their lives.
Bryant and his daughter were among nine casualties who lost their lives when the helicopter they were travelling in crashed on the Calabasas hillside.
Artist Dan Medina stated that his goal was to have a permanent statue erected to honour the superstar basketball player and eight other victims.
The statue of the basketball player and proud father of four, with 13-year-old Gianna, was placed at the site of the accident in mountainous area of Calabasas in Los Angeles.
Medina wrote: ‘Heroes come and go but legends are forever’. He also honoured the victims with their names on a plaque at the base of the statue.
