The Nollywood industry has been plunged into mourning and tears as legendary popular actor and filmmaker, Kamal Adebayo, reportedly passed away.
The death of the ace thespian was announced by his junior colleague, Yomi Fabiyi, in a post on Tuesday, December 27.
“O di gba kan naa, Sir K Warrior. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ™ˆðŸ™ˆðŸ•Š. Wabili Kabbar. RIP senior man,” Fabiyi wrote in a post attached to Adebayo’s picture.
Although Ikeja Bird could not verify the incident at the time of filing this report, there are indications that the family of the deceased will make an official release.
Adebayo, who is fondly called Sir K or Kay Kamoru — his stage name — is believed to be the father of popular skit maker and Instagram celebrity IsBae U.
Sir Kay rose to prominence in the entertainment industry in the late 90s and early 20s. He has been featured in hundreds of Yoruba movies.
The deceased has also shared the screen with top-rated Nollywood actors including Taiwo Hassan popularly known as Ogogo and Yinka Quadri.
His colleagues and associates, including the chairman of Lagos park management Musiliu Akinsanya MC Oluomo, have been reacting to his death.
