Senator-elect and business mogul, Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim has given his opinion about Boko Haram which he claimed to be a political problem.
In an interview with Channels on Tuesday, the renowned lawyer shared that one of the ways to curb the issues was for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to return Nigerian troops back to their barracks.
“Boko Haram is a political problem. You have to socialize politically to solve Boko Haram. The first thing Mr President has to do is to withdraw soldiers from the front(line) and return them back to the barracks children that left NDA as a lieutenant, they have become major-general and the war is still there. Is the military a challenge to ourselves? No,” he said.

Boko Haram will still be there if you don’t socialize domestically – Jimoh
He explained that the alleged failure was the fault of authorities in the North East because of their strategies for fighting terrorism.
Ibrahim added that Nigeria has spent a whooping sum of $1.2 trillion to fight Boko Haram, however, what is needed to be done is to look for information, socialization, and doing meetings with several people.
“Go into political socialization. You have to socialize domestically. Assuming you have spent 10 percent of $1.2 trillion on political socialization, Boko Haram would have disappeared. But you spent 89 percent on a factor that is not significant to confront Boko Haram, Boko Haram will still be there,” Ibrahim advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
