Big dreams still come true! – Female flight attendant becomes a pilot

Precious Sibalo, a young woman from Zimbabwe, finally achieves her dreams of becoming a commercial airline pilot after many hurdles.

According to Blacknews.com, Precious got inspired to become a pilot after she saw some pilots during a school trip to the airport. After that trip, a fire was kindled in her heart. 

Having not met any female pilots, she became even more motivated to make a difference by becoming a female pilot so she kept her hopes high.

However, things changed when at the age of 17, she became a mother and around the same time, lost her mother. 

She had to manage being emotionally overwhelmed with providing for her family so she set her dreams aside for a while.

Big dreams still come true!

In her bid to cater for her child and family, she moved to South Africa to work as a waitress and a part-time model before moving to Dubai where she also worked as a waitress. 

Never give up on your dreams

After about 3 months in Dubai, she took an opportunity to work at Qatar Airways as a cabin crew member and soon she was promoted to senior cabin member.

At this point, she chose to pursue her dream so she started studying to become a pilot.

Now, she holds an Airline Transport Pilot License, which is the world’s highest level of Aircraft Pilot License from 43 Air School in South Africa.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s former Chief of Army Staff, retired General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, was full of joy after being flown by his son who is a pilot in an Abuja-bound Sokoto flight.

A happy father Buratai who is a Nigeria’s ambassador to Republic of Benin, made this known in a post on his verified Facebook post on Friday, December 9.

The 62-year-old former army boss described the beautiful moment as “proud”, adding that he was accorded a warm reception by the cabin crew of the flight.
