Actress Bimbo Ademoye, who won the Best Actress in a Comedy award at the recent Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, has made her dad proud by presenting the award to him.
Bimbo received the prestigious award for her outstanding performance in the TV series “Selina.”
In a heartfelt gesture, Bimbo Ademoye shared a video on her Instagram page, capturing the moment she handed the award to her dad.

He sacrificed a lot
In the caption, she expressed her gratitude and admiration for her father, who has been her biggest supporter, rock, and backbone throughout her journey.
Despite her father’s absence at the time, Bimbo knew exactly where to find him. She explained that he enjoys spending time with his friends in the neighborhood on Sundays when he’s not too busy.
Bimbo reminisced about how her father accompanied her to her first audition, patiently waiting for six hours until she finished.
She also appreciated her hood
She credited her upbringing in the neighborhood for producing the diverse characters that have brought laughter to her fans, including Iya Barakat, Todowede, and Selina.
Proudly identifying herself as Bimbo Ademoye, the daughter of Ademoye Adekunke, Ari’s aunt, and hailing from Ebute Meta, Bimbo expressed her gratitude to all the people who have played a significant role in her success. She revealed that she is currently preparing her acceptance speech to acknowledge and appreciate those who have supported her throughout her career.

“I went back home to give the award to my award . My biggest supporter, my rock, my backbone. My Father . Met his absence , but I knew exactly where he’d be. He loves chilling with the boys in the hood when he’s less busy on Sunday.
“My dad took me to my first audition and waited for six hours till I was done. My hood produced all the characters that have made you guys laugh. From iya barakat , to Todowede , to Selina.
“I’ve had to mimic someone from the hood to give those characters life. My name is Bimbo Ademoye, Ademoye Adekunke’s daughter, Ari’s aunty ,and I’m from Ebute meta . Born and bred in the hood. There are so many people I’d love to appreciate. I’m prepping my speech guys.”
