Labour Party’s leader in Edo State, Ogbemudia Bassey Osagie, a contender for the state governorship, outlined his plans to address pressing issues if elected.

Osagie emphasized the abundance of arable land in the state and vowed to combat hunger by capitalizing on these resources. 

He plans to mobilize fellow youths into mechanized farming, providing them with necessary equipment and funds to encourage agricultural development and put an end to hunger in the state.

He is also a trained security expert 

As a trained security expert, Osagie also pledged to leverage his years of experience to support law enforcement agencies in tackling crime and criminality. 

He believes that fostering a safe environment is essential for meaningful development in the state.

Chief Reuben Aizenabor, the Protem Chairman of the Ogbemudia Osagie Campaign Organization, expressed confidence in Osagie’s chances in the forthcoming governorship election. 

He highlighted the candidate’s youthfulness, charisma, and strong connection with the Edo people, particularly the youth demographic, which could work in his favor.

Edo State Government vows to prosecute Contractor over poor execution of road project.

In another news, following a viral video online, which exposed the poorly executed road project in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State. 

The Edo State Government has vowed to prosecute persons involved in the poorly constructed road project.

The state deputy governor, Philip Shaibu who inspected the project affirmed that it is substandard. “The project falls short of the standard that we have maintained in execution of road projects across Edo State.”
