Popular comedian, Richard Ayodeji Makun, popularly known as AY, recently presented verifiable facts on his official Instagram page to debunk his senior colleague Julius Agwu’s claims. Julius Agwu had alleged that AY had taken over his Easter Sunday performance slot.
In a carousel post of 10 slides, AY stated that the truth holds the ultimate power to overcome lies, especially in an era where the internet has a long memory.
AY used photos, texts, and videos to debunk Agwu’s claims, sharing a slide containing ten facts that clearly demonstrated that the program Agwu had referred to, “Laff 4 Christ Sake,” had ended in 2009 and only resumed on October 23rd, 2011.

AY threatens to sue Julius Agwu
AY also added that it is never possible for Julius Agwu to run the show “Laff 4 Christ Sake” which he claimed happened in London on Easter Sunday, April 8th, 2012 the same date as Nigeria.
The stand-up comedian in his 6th and 7th slides showed some moments the two families were having a good time together which is contrary to his colleague’s claims.
Ayo Makun threatened to file a slanderous lawsuit against Julius D Genius Agwu for consistently trying to damage his reputation as claimed by him.

Meanwhile, Nigerian comedian, Julius Agwu, shared his opinion on the current argument between his fellow comedians, AY and Basketmouth.
AY and Basketmouth are two very popular comedians in Nigeria but recently, they have been in the news because of a disagreement they had years ago. AY said that the argument started because of a N30,000 job.
During an interview with Naija FM, Julius Agwu was asked about the argument between AY and Basketmouth. He said that he thinks there is more to it than just the N30,000 that was mentioned.
