Nigerian comedian AY Comedian, popularly known as Ayo Makun, has apologised to Popular Nigerian music artist Davido.
This happened because AY told an insensitive joke about Davido at a show in Warri, where Davido was supposed to perform but didn’t. A lot of people got upset about the joke, and that made AY apologize. He posted the apology on his Instagram and tagged Davido in it.
In his apology, AY said he was really sorry for how he told the joke in Warri. He even admitted that it wasn’t funny, unlike when he told it during his shows in the US and Canada.

AY apology to Davido
AY acknowledged that Davido had every right to be angry, especially when he saw how the news websites discussed the joke.
He also mentioned that everyone in the entertainment business learns from their experiences, and he was ready to accept any criticism or negative thoughts about the poorly delivered joke. He reassured Davido that he’s still a big fan and loves him a lot.
He wrote:
“I am so sorry for telling that joke the way it came out in Warri. I shouldn’t even call it a joke anymore . It wasn’t funny like it was during my tour of US and Canada, and you have every right to be angry after seeing how the blogs used it.
Please know that it is always a learning experience for all of us in the entertainment business. I deserve any backlash or negative thoughts coming my way for the joke that was badly delivered in Warri. So, no excuses at all, my Aburo. No reason am. I remain your number one fan, and I love you, @davido”
