The Presidential Election Petition Court has resumed its sitting to hear the written address presented by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
They are challenging the victory of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 25 election.
Atiku, Nigeria’s former Vice-President, was present in court during today’s hearing.

We are all awaiting judgment
The parties are now adopting their various arguments before the court, after which a judgment date may be fixed.
Atiku and the PDP had a total of 27 people who spoke for them and gave evidence, and they showed many documents.
Peter Obi and the Labour Party had also a total of 13 people speaking for them and showed their own documents, and INEC, also presented their evidence.
On the other side, Bola Tinubu and his team, including the APC, defended themselves. They had one person speaking for them and showed some papers.

Anxiety builds as Presidential Election Petition Court nears judgment
In another news, the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) is drawing closer to delivering its judgment on the challenge to the February 25 presidential election.
This has caused anxiety among President Bola Tinubu’s camp and the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
The court has received the final written arguments from both parties in the petitions filed by Atiku and Obi against President Tinubu’s victory. It is now time for the court to schedule a date for the judgment.
