Chinonso Egemba popularly known as Aproko Doctor has revealed how he fought a brain tumor in December, 2022.
The popular doctor disclosed that the health challenge almost made him blind in his left eye.
He also indicated that he was able to live to tell the story after a successfully done surgery by another doctor named Tayo Ojo.
Chinonso Egemba wrote: “Throughout December of 2022, I was fighting for my life. I went blind in one eye on the 3rd of Dec. 2022 & on the 5th, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
“Today I stand here before you to share my story. It has been a long road to recovery but each day is better than the last.
“It was Dr. Tayo Ojo, a neurosurgeon here in Nigeria that did the surgery. So many people begged me to leave the country and get the surgery done but something kept me back here because I still had trust in us,” he said.
As a health enthusiast, Egemba also used the opportunity to call for more support in the health sector. He said education and health are critical for development in any country.
“Education, health. For me… those are the two systems any nation needs to succeed. I’m dedicating my life to seeing that they succeed in our country Nigeria,” he said.
