The police have arrested a man named Yusuf Isah, who is 32 years old, for his suspected involvement in the attack on Apostle Johnson Suleman’s convoy.
The attack happened in October 2022 on the road between Benin and Auchi in Edo state, and it resulted in the tragic deaths of six people, including three police officers.
Apostle Suleman, who is the leader of Omega Fire Ministries International, called the incident an “assassination attempt” against him.

Apostle Johnson suleman is safe now
Following a thorough investigation, the police’s intelligence rapid team apprehended Yusuf Isah in Akure, the capital city of Ondo state.
During the arrest, the police discovered five AK-47 rifles in Yusuf Isah’s possession. Additionally, a search of his home in Akure led to the recovery of two K2 assault rifles, 180 live ammunition, and four suspected homemade explosive devices.
Muyiwa Adejobi, the spokesperson for the police force, explained that Yusuf Isah is from Okene in Kogi state and works as a plumber at Agbaraoluwa Phase 2 in Ijoka, Akure.
The arrest and the seizure of firearms and explosives mark significant progress in the investigation into the attack on Apostle Suleman’s convoy. The police will continue their efforts to identify any other individuals involved in the incident and bring them to justice.
