The Nigerian Twitter community has been buzzing with reactions to Osas Ighodaro’s well-deserved win in the Best Actress in a Drama category at the 2023 AMVCA.
The actress’s outstanding performance in the movie ‘Man of God’ has garnered praise and admiration from Nigerians across the platform.
Meanwhile, Nigerians are not in support of the AMVCA selections as they claimed that actress Osas Ighodaro and actor Tobi Bakare are not worthy of the Awards given to them.

Kunle Remi deserves more
In a controversial tweet, @lollypeezle mentioned that Kunle Remi and Tobi Bakare are the actors who stood out throughout the year but were surprised to have seen AMVCA’s organizers snubbing Kunle Remi.
He also revealed that the board if AMVCA snubbing Kunle Remi is intentional. He said it’s unfair and unjust for one to put effort into work but is unrecognized.
Nigerians seeks response
In reply to the tweet, @Sports_Doctor2 said it amazed him how a movie is awarded as the best overall movie but the star actor of the movie wasn’t even nominated for any award.
One of the netizens further revealed that It’s either Osas is paying to get the AMVCA award best actress every year or she is having a close relationship with the award sponsors.
