A young Nigerian female graduate has received the sum of N10 million from the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Aminat Yusuf, a Law student, just graduated from Lagos State University (LASU) with a record-breaking CGPA of 5.0.
The Guardian reported that the young lady had broken a 40 year old record in the history of the University with her CGPA.

She broke this record by emerging as the best graduating student for the 2021/2022 academic session with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 5.0.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu presented the money on Thursday at the 26th convocation ceremony of the institution at the Ojo-Iyana Iba area of Lagos State.
Lady with 5.0 CGPA gets N10M
Out of the total sum given, N5 million was the Governor’s personal donation, while the Lagos State government donated the remaining N5 million.
The genius also received other gifts from well wishers. Amongst them was a Lagos monarch, the Oniba of Iba Kingdom, Oba Sulaimon Adeshina Raji.
The Monarch gave her N2 million and promised her full sponsorship through Law School.
The Vice Chancellor of LASU, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, also pledged a cash prize of N500,000 cash prize to the graduate.
Aminat Yusuf topped the first-class graduates for the 2021/2022 academic session, and Feyisayo Lopez from the Department of Physiology, College of Medicine emerged as the best for the 2020/2021 session with a 4.91 CGPA.

Meanwhile, a very determined young Lady emerged as the best graduating student of Law, after having to resit WAEC (West African Examinations Council).
The lady named Naziha Amin Gombillah has become an inspiration to many after narrating her struggles with gaining admission into the university.
After secondary school, she sat for WAEC and failed. She had to resit the examination the following year, delaying her academic progress by a year.
