A determined young woman’s dream to become a pilot has seen the light of day after 10 years.
The journey was not an easy one as she faced many challenges which made her consider giving up, but she chose to fight back.
The lady identified as Malaika posted a heartwarming TikTok video of her ‘captain instructor’ washing her with water in celebration.

Her joy knew no bounds as she sat on the floor drenched in water in her white and black outfit.
Malaika had just registered her first flight as pilot in command, and that was the reason water was poured on her.

“POV: You’ve had a dream to be a pilot for more than a decade, almost gave up 1000 times but today you register your first flight as pilot in command. God, please do unto others too what you have done for me.”
“My instructor captain Sharon too proud to wash me,” she added.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian woman has emerged as the first Nigerian female pilot to fly Boeing 787, and the first Nigerian female pilot to fly Qatar Airways.
Adeola Ogunmola Sowemimo set an outstanding record in the aviation industry when she achieved this feat.
This Day reported that the Captain is a native of Ogbomosho, Oyo State.
