Veteran Nigerian comedian and actor, Ali Baba, recently voiced his criticism against Vice President Kashim Shettima for allegedly disrespecting Christians during a church event.
Ali Baba took to his Instagram page to share a photo collage that featured Shettima wearing a cap while the other political elites beside him removed their hats.
He emphasized the importance of respecting people’s beliefs, rituals, and observations, particularly when entering a place considered holy or sacred by a certain group.

You do it to honour who your hosts are
Ali Baba also stated that such respect is necessary to honour the hosts of the event.
He posted a picture of Shettima and captioned it,
“When you enter a place considered holy or sacred by a people, you respect their beliefs, rituals, and observations… thats how it done. You do it to honour who your hosts are. But then again.”

Meanwhile, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) expressed its dissatisfaction with Governor Ademola Adeleke’s choice of commissioners in Osun state.
MURIC pointed out that out of the 24 commissioners, only seven were Muslims while the remaining 17 were Christians.
MURIC’s Executive Director, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, accused Governor Adeleke of favoring Christians over Muslims, which MURIC believes is unfair and oppressive.
