Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, appoints Bamikole Omishore, an accomplished International Relations and Digital Communications specialist, as the Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Multilateral Relations.
The announcement was made on Wednesday during the official assignment of portfolios to the newly appointed Special Advisers in the state.
Mr. Omishore’s expertise as a master-strategist, tech investor, and real estate investor, has positioned him as a leading advocate for gender equality and youth inclusion in the realms of politics and governance.

He wants to boost local production
His leadership in the Made-in-Nigeria Initiative from 2015 to 2019 showcased his dedication to boosting local production, encouraging the use of indigenous products, and strengthening the value of the Naira through support for the Procurement Act.
Bamikole journey in Nigerian politics began in 2011 when he was appointed as Special Assistant on Media and Advocacy to Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki, representing the Kwara Central Senatorial District.
Due to his exceptional performance, he was later promoted to the position of Senior Special Assistant on International Relations in 2016 during Saraki’s tenure as the Senate President.
Bamikole is the man for the job
Educationally, Mr. Omishore holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from Coppin State University.
His passion for staying at the forefront of digital innovation led him to obtain a certificate in Digital Transformation in Journalism from the New York School of Journalism.
He also holds a certificate in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning – Strategy for Leading Business Transformation from NorthWestern Kellogg. Additionally, he is pursuing a course in Evidence in Public Policy from the University of Oxford- Blavatnik School of Government.
He has special duties
In his new role as Special Adviser on SDGs and Multilateral Relations, Mr. Omishore will be tasked with overseeing the implementation of the 17 goals of the Sustainable Development in Osun State.
His responsibilities include reporting on all SDGs engagements and projects within the state, as well as utilizing the SDGs platform to drive innovation and create an enabling environment that fosters job creation, boosts local consumption of agricultural produce, reduces hunger, and improves access to quality healthcare.
Furthermore, Mr. Omishore will serve as the official representative and primary point of contact for Osun State government in its interactions with foreign missions and developmental partners.

Governor Ademola Adeleke appoints his nephew as a state statutory board chairman
In another news the Governor of Osun state, Ademola Adeleke appointed his late brother, Isiaka Adeleke’s son, Mr. Tunji Adeleke (Jnr), as the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission.
Additionally, Rasaq Salinsile, who was the chairman of the defunct Rauf Aregbesola’s faction of the All Progressives Congress in the state, was also appointed as the Chairman of the Teaching Service Commission.
Other important appointments include Prof. Wale Oladipo the ex-National Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, as Chairman of the Osun State University Governing Council and Mr. Diran Odeyemi the ex-PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary, as Chairman of the Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke.
